Deep vanilla infused woods create a soft intimate musk . . close your eyes and step into another time as you anoint your pulse points with Consort ~ a base note accord perfume of deep, sultry, evocative natural aromatics.
A resinous, grounding vibration like the soothing sound of a cello - the tree resins of poplar and benzoin melt into the arms of aged dark patchouli, real sandalwood, and fine French oakmoss with a hint of Haitian vetiver. An exquisite rich infused vanilla and a few drops of rose soften the edges and harmonizes the blend. Gentle yet dramatic.

The Personal, The Process, The Gathered
The sweet, oozing, resinous buds of the cottonwood (poplar) tree are one of the few plants I gather in the dead of winter. It is always soothing to my soul that life can be found beneath the brutal icy winter months.
I wait for the February winds. They roar with a frigid temper, audible and recognizable as a tantrum of nature, bringing with it branches of the fragile poplar tree donning barely awake buds. These fresh buds glisten with the fragrant, sticky resin, a messy joy to get all over my hands or gloves as I fill my basket as quickly as possible before I get too cold.
Then begins the ritual of sorting bud from branch, laying all of the buds out so the water can escape. The house becomes filled with its vanilla like fragrance and everything feels like home.
Once the buds are ready, I put them up for perfume as well as medicine, as this plant offers myriad healing properties as well.

Consort is held in a base of soothing natural beeswax and coconut oil. GATHER products are always 100% Natural.
Contains 0.07 oz of concentrated perfume solid (approximately 2 grams)
Wear alone or as a base note fixative perfume solid to extend or depend your favorite natural perfume.
This perfume solid will withstand normal temperatures but must be kept out of direct light and extreme temperatures and away from sitting in a hot car.

** Due to the fact that I - Gather perfume - use exclusively 100% natural materials, batch variance is to be expected. This is the same in any luxury, handcrafted art medium ( such as dance and opera) and agriculturally dependent arts such as viticulture, honey, or microbrewery. Gather perfumes are often limited editions for this reason, as well as the fact that some materials can only be obtained for small windows of time or no longer available at all. If you prefer uniformity in your fragrances, you may want to consider a more commercially available or mixed media brand.
