| The Tribal Calling |
The drums are calling us in to gather. The night is rich with possibility. The women's voices have begun, and the fire billows to the stars. Spiced skin dances wild and in her animal nature the creative muse is unleashed. Life force coils through the circle as the crackling sparks scent the air like ancient kyphi and the trees' silhouettes come to life. The old ways burn with the cedar and the new ways peel open like a fresh, juicy mandarin.
Style: spiced floral amber chypre

Blood orange
Spices
Ylang Ylang 1, complete, + absolute
Cedarmoss + Cedar wood

The Personal, The Process, The Gathered
Of the commercial perfumes I once loved, Obsession was one. A perfume that nearly suffocates me now when I smell it in public places, or on ladies in a restaurant, it once was a wildly sexy fragrance hard to resist. Although that perfume wasn't on my mind when I created Shakti, I was most definitely in a place of creative up-rise, a similar state of mind that I was in when I was a younger, wilder me wearing Obsession.
The energy of the sultry, restless, creative diva is redolent in Shakti - her spices and woods drumming, conjuring, manifesting, celebrating. This is the perfume I wear when I am really feeling my prowess. It is one of the first full perfumes I composed, and it stands strong as a best seller to this day.
Shakti features artisan vanilla extract and amber accords blended from scratch.

A NOTE FROM THE PERFUMER
** Due to the fact that I - Gather perfume - use exclusively 100% natural materials, batch variance is to be expected. This is the same in any luxury, handcrafted art medium ( such as dance and opera) and agriculturally dependent arts such as viticulture, honey, or microbrewery. Gather perfumes are often limited editions for this reason, as well as the fact that some materials can only be obtained for small windows of time or no longer available at all. If you prefer uniformity in your fragrances, you may want to consider a more commercially available or mixed media brand.
With Love, Ananda
