The Personal, The Process, The Gathered
There are pieces in my life with incredible sentimental value, and I know I'm not alone in this attachment to heritage wood items.
My childhood oak furniture that survived the snow and rain that followed after a 100 foot pine tree fell through my roof above my head in a storm (luckily I also survived).
A wooden chest I inherited from my grandfather that holds my sacred altar items and my vintage perfumes, including his. This chest is in the photos.
My mother's enormous armoire which holds all of her dried medicinal herbs, formulas, and handmade skin creams, as well as holiday china and silver.
My oversized coffee table with industrial iron wheels and the chunkiest of woods.

Gather perfumes are often limited editions for this reason, as well as the fact that some materials can only be obtained for small windows of time or no longer available at all.
